According to MyCe, internal Intel documents reveal the existence of 2 TB SSDs. These SSDs are reportedly intended for both the general public and professionals. The first SSDs to be unveiled will offer modest performance gains over previous generations. The second group, however, should deliver much higher performance, which is reassuring for the future of SSDs.
In addition, the “slides” obtained from the DC P3500 series show capacities ranging from 250 GB to 2 TB, with write and read speeds of 1.7 and 2.8 GB/s, respectively. These capacities currently set new records. The only drawback of these SSDs is their power consumption, which still reaches 25 W at full load. The SSDs are scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2014.
