WindSolution recently set up a Windows software that lets you easily transfer your apps from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad without going through iTunes (the standard software).
The principle is simple: by connecting an iOS device, the software transfers the apps, but it can also back them up and restore them from CopyTrans Apps. One of the most important features of the software, in my opinion, is the ability to back up and transfer app files. In short, for example, it lets you save a game’s progress in terms of level. This is handy if you really don’t want to lose your progress in games.
In addition, the application offers features for backing up documents (Word, Excel, PDF), and from a PC this is done very quickly and easily. The other feature I find really useful is installing and uninstalling apps. Without going through iTunes, you can add or remove apps from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad in no time, without the technical issues you sometimes run into with iTunes.
The application is therefore very useful for any owners of iOS devices, because they can easily back up their apps in no time without iCloud and add documents quickly and easily.
If you like the software and would be interested in trying it, it is available here in a free beta version.
