YouTube has posted an alert announcing the end of branding intros for YouTube videos. On March 31, 2015, it will no longer be possible to feature an intro at the start of your videos. Many of you used them as a way to promote your YouTube channels and to encourage viewers to like videos and subscribe. This feature was introduced last year, and since then many YouTubers have used it, as it was extremely useful for everyone.
So why is YouTube removing this feature? According to many creators, it would prefer to add its own presentation during the editing stage.
On the other hand, YouTube offers two options:
- The first option would be to permanently add the intro to your current videos, so it will not be possible for you to remove the current intro.
- The second option would be to permanently delete the intro after March 31, 2015.
