Twitter is preparing to raise the tweet limit to 10,000 characters

Twitter, the social network known for its messages limited to 140 characters, is reportedly preparing an update to its tweet length policy. Indeed, according to the specialized site Re/Code, Twitter would now like to allow its users to write tweets with more than 10,000 characters. This new feature could be rolled out as early as the end of the first quarter of 2016.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey published a long message on Twitter with an image to defend the idea of a Twitter that goes beyond the 140-character limit.

Personally, I think this update to the 140-character policy would be a wonderful step forward for the Twitter social network, because it will allow certain people who want to express themselves more fully to do so. I only hope that Twitter does not remove its 140-character format and that it does so in a smart way. I think everything will hinge on how this new policy is integrated into the social network.
