Here Are the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo

Sommaire

I managed to get my hands exclusively on the long-awaited mockups of Apple’s upcoming smartphones. Today on ArtBen, we’re discovering together the specs of the new iPhone 18 Pro Max, as well as the brand’s very first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. With John Ternus’s recent arrival as CEO, replacing Tim Cook, this year promises to be particularly full of surprises.

The new design and colors of the iPhone 18 Pro Max

Compared with the size of my iPhone 16 Pro Max, which I use every day for filming, the back remains fairly similar, especially in the rounded camera bump. However, Apple has decided to completely overhaul its color palette. The orange finish is disappearing from the lineup in favor of three new shades that will join the classic Silver. As a result, you’ll now have the choice between a particularly elegant black, a deep burgundy red, and my personal favorite: a brilliant blue strongly reminiscent of the famous Tiffany blue.

A revolutionary camera for the iPhone 18 Pro Max

Moreover, the biggest change to this iPhone 18 Pro Max lies in its camera module. According to information from the specialist Ming-Chi Kuo, the 48-megapixel main sensor will feature a true mechanical variable aperture. In practical terms, the system will physically adjust the amount of incoming light. As a result, we may finally get a genuinely natural background blur for portraits, without having to rely on artificial intelligence. Additionally, this technology will act like sunglasses for the sensor, ensuring smooth videos even in bright sunlight.

The surprise arrival of the foldable iPhone Duo

Beyond the classic models, the real revolution is the launch of the iPhone Duo (also nicknamed iPhone Ultra). This very first foldable smartphone from the company will feature the powerful A20 Pro chip built on a 2-nanometer process, along with a massive 4800 to 5000 mAh battery. Nevertheless, its extreme thinness forces the manufacturer to make serious compromises. As a result, the device skips the physical SIM card slot and the new camera button, and drops the telephoto lens in favor of a simple dual 48-megapixel sensor setup.
