Steps to change the thumbnail of a YouTube video:

To upload a custom thumbnail when publishing a video:

1. Record or upload your video.
2. Once the video has finished processing in the upload interface, an option to select a custom thumbnail appears under the “Video thumbnails” section.

To upload a custom thumbnail for an existing video:

1. Go to the Video Manager of your channel.
2. Find the video you want, then click the Edit button.
3. Click the Custom thumbnail button, then upload a thumbnail.
4. Once the thumbnail has been added, don’t forget to click the “Save changes” button.
