Here is my tutorial on how to jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad running iOS 13.5.1 using the Checkra1n software on a Mac, in French, to get Cydia.

Jailbreak tutorial with Checkra1n:

Step 1: Download Checkra1n

On the checkra.in website. Open the downloaded file and drag Checkra1n into the Applications folder.

Step 2: Open Checkra1n on your computer

Open the Applications folder on your Mac, launch Checkra1n, and connect your iPhone or iPad via USB cable. In the Checkra1n app, click “Start” at the bottom right, then “Next” and “Start”.

Step 3: Put your iPhone or iPad into DFU mode:

• iPhone 8 or iPhone X: press the volume up button once and the volume down button once, then press and hold the Power button (on the right side) until your iPhone shows a cable pointing to a computer.
• iPad with Face ID: same procedure as above.
• iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPod touch (7th generation): press and hold the top button (or side button) and the volume down button at the same time. Keep holding them until the recovery mode screen appears.
• iPad with Home button, iPhone 6s (or earlier), and iPod touch (6th generation or earlier): press and hold the Home button and the top button (or side button) at the same time. Keep holding them until the recovery mode screen appears.

Step 4: Open the Checkra1n app on your device and install Cydia.

Step 5: Go to Options and check the option “Allow untested iOS / iPadOS / tvOS versions”. Once done, click Back.

A Checkra1n app is now available on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Launch it, then click Cydia to install it.

There you go, you have Cydia and can install tweaks! Please note that the jailbreak is semi-tethered: the above procedure must be repeated every time the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch restarts. If you don’t have a computer, your device will run the base version of iOS without Cydia, and therefore without jailbreak.
