Fortnite has been banned from the App Store and Google Play Store, but there is still a way to play it on an iPhone, an iPad, or Android using Nvidia GeForce Now. Fortnite used to be one of the biggest games on iPhone and Android, but everything changed in 2020. To protest Apple’s IAP surcharges, Epic Games decided to bypass Apple’s and Google’s IAP systems and paid the ultimate price: its removal from the App Store. Here is a solution for installing it on iPhone and iPad.
Tutorial for playing Fortnite on iPhone & Android:
- Sign up for Nvidia GeForce Now here.
- Sign up for the Fortnite beta by clicking Start at the bottom of the page here.
Tutorial for playing Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad:
- Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to play.geforcenow.com
- Tap the Share icon (at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, at the top right on iPad).
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Give the shortcut a name (such as GFN) and tap OK to save it.
- You will now have a GeForce Now web app shortcut on your home screen, and you can move it (or delete it) just like any other app.
- Tap the app to open it and accept the terms and conditions.
- Tap the icon in the top right to sign in to your GeForce Now account.
- Tap the menu icon (top left) and tap Settings.
- Sync your Epic Games account with your GeForce Now account by following the on-screen instructions. This lets you play Fortnite (and other Epic Games titles) on the service.
